Ceramic slip casting: 2-Week Course
This intensive two-session workshop introduces students to the fundamentals of plaster mold making and ceramic slip casting. Students will learn how to design a simple form for mold production, safely mix and pour plaster, and cast ceramic pieces using liquid clay slip. The class emphasizes practical skills and foundational techniques suited for small-scale production and creative exploration.
By the end of the workshop, students will complete at least one functional plaster mold and produce slip-cast ceramic pieces that will be fired at the studio.
